Supporting Teachers

I create practical, teacher-tested classroom resources that help busy teachers support children to learn with confidence. My work focuses on structured literacy and te reo Māori, with resources designed specifically for Years 0–4 classrooms in New Zealand and similar contexts.

Through A Wandering Woman Teaches, I support teachers by:

  • Providing Science of Reading–aligned literacy resources that build phonics knowledge, fluency, and confidence

  • Creating te reo Māori resources that are culturally respectful, accessible, and easy to integrate into daily classroom routines

  • Designing materials that support oral language, writing, and classroom community, not just worksheets

  • Offering resources that work across whole-class teaching, small groups, and independent practice

Classroom Tested Resources

Everything I design is grounded in real classroom experience. I know what it’s like to juggle curriculum changes, planning demands, and the needs of diverse learners—so my resources are intentionally low-prep, purposeful, and easy to use. Teachers can pick them up, understand them quickly, and use them straight away.
